Christmas Kid's Drought Appeal
Christmas is a time for sharing joy with the ones you love and celebrating the notion of togetherness. As the yule tide spirit sets in, Christmas trees get brought out and decorated – it can be too easy to get caught up in the aesthetic element of the festive season and lose sight of what the true meaning is.
As Australia continues to suffer through this catastrophic drought, families throughout rural regions are struggling to immerse themselves in the spirit of Christmas. With many families struggling financially and emotionally, the holiday season becomes a time of heartache rather than a time of celebration.
This year, Pizazz Boutique and their fantastic community are joining forces to celebrate 12 Days of Christmas by collecting donations in the form of children’s toys to gift to those families struggling to celebrate Christmas the way they deserve to.
Accepting toys, books and other gifts suitable for ages newborn and onward, Pizazz is reaching out to those who are able to make a donation to the Christmas Kid’s Drought Appeal; together, they’d like to show their rural neighbours that giving is not only what Christmas is all about, but also the true Australian way of living.
If you are wanting to donate, please drop into Pizazz Boutique between the hours of 9am and 4pm before Thursday 12th December. Pizazz asks that all donations given are delivered firsthand and unwrapped so that each gift can be paired with the appropriate child.
Let’s work together to make a difference in the lives of those struggling to enjoy the holiday season this year. You can visit Pizazz Boutique at 118 Magnus Street, Nelson Bay, New South Wales 2316.
